Da Face’s Mogul Music is more than just an album. It’s conceptualized as a visual album which is essentially a movie musical with a storyline based on the concepts on the album and a soundtrack comprising of all the songs on the album. Think Beyonce’s Lemonade or the more recently Janelle Monae’s Dirty Computer. This type of project has never been done by an artiste from the shores of Trinidad and Tobago. Da Face is not only looking to achieve this first but he has plans to enter it in the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival next year.
To achieve this goal, Da Face has been raising money Kickstarter-style. For every level of contribution there are rewards. At the lowest level you receive a copy of the album and your name in the credits of the visual album. At the highest level you can get, in addition to all prior rewards, your own private concert from Da Face. Early contributors were able to access his album before it launched. Some got free tickets to the album launch. Within the first two weeks he received over $5,000TT of his target $30,000TT from 17 contributors and the support is continuing.
Da Face has already begun pre-production work on the visual album. He is still accepting contributions and continue the momentum he has to achieve his goal. Contributions can be made by PayPal, to a bank account or you can link up with him and give him the cash.
